T&C’s

These Terms & Conditions govern the services provided by Carl Lyttle ("Photographer") for photography sessions, framing, print purchases, and usage rights under the law of England and Wales. By booking a photography session, you ("Client") agree to the following terms:

1. Copyright & Usage Rights

  • All copyright of the images captured during commissioned sessions will remain the exclusive property of Carl Lyttle.

  • The Client will receive a license for personal use only. Commercial use, reproduction, or modification of images is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from the Photographer.

  • The Photographer reserves the right to use any images captured during the shoot for promotional purposes, including but not limited to the "Dogs by Carl" website and associated social media channels. If the Client wishes to restrict this usage, such requests must be made in writing and agreed upon prior to the shoot.

2. Booking, Deposit, & Fees

  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed session fee is required to confirm and secure the booking. This deposit serves as a reservation fee and will be credited towards the total cost of the session.

  • The balance of the fees must be paid in full no later than 24 hours before the scheduled shoot date.

  • In the event of cancellation by the Client, the deposit will be forfeited. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

3. Payment for Additional Products

  • Any orders for framing, prints, or other physical products must be paid in full prior to delivery. These items are custom and made to order, therefore non-refundable once payment has been processed.

4. Session Policies & Conduct

  • The Photographer reserves the right to terminate or reschedule the session if it is deemed unsafe or if the Client and/or subjects do not comply with reasonable directions during the shoot. In such cases, additional fees may apply.

  • If the shoot requires special conditions or locations, the Client agrees to provide accurate information and obtain necessary permissions. Any additional costs arising from these requirements are the responsibility of the Client.

5. Liability & Indemnification

  • The Photographer takes reasonable steps to provide quality images; however, no specific outcome is guaranteed. In the unlikely event of an error or loss of digital images, the Photographer's liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the Client for the service.

  • The Photographer is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the session. The Client agrees to indemnify the Photographer against any claims or costs arising from any act, omission, or breach by the Client.

6. Image Delivery & Storage

  • Digital images will be provided to the Client within a reasonable timeframe following the session. Storage of the images after delivery is the responsibility of the Client, and the Photographer is not liable for maintaining copies after delivery.

7. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
